key to cancer formation and growth is immune weakness and rouge protien and free radical damage, along with homonal related growth accelleration

high blood sugar causes the formaiton of advance glycation end products and can depress the white blood cell count by up to 50%
polyunstaruartes readilly prduce free radicals and are poerful immunsuppressants

also, cancer cells are uniquely glucose dependant and chronically elevated insulin, from blood glucose, promotes cancer cell proliferation

this would explain the asscoiations
